My research interest include risk analysis, equitable access to essential services, hazards impact on essential services, and community resilience.
Biography
Zaira Pagan-Cajigas is a fourth year Ph.D. candidate in the Industrial and Operations Engineering department at the University of Michigan, advised by Dr. Seth Guikema. Her current research focuses on community resilience to natural hazards by measuring building-level access to essential services pre- and post-hazard using only publicly available data. Additionally, she focuses on evaluating climate change projections impact on power outages using statistical forecasting outage models.
