The Department of Industrial and Operations Engineering (IOE) at the University of Michigan (U-M) has a rich tradition of engineering education and research. In U-M IOE, faculty and students work together to create new ideas that extend the frontiers of science and engineering. Many of these activities are interdisciplinary, taking advantage of the outstanding resources Michigan Engineering and the University at large have to offer. U-M IOE students develop life-long skills that can carry them to careers that can impact sectors of the economy including energy, finance, health, manufacturing, robotics, transportation and more.
