Celebrating IOE Student Excellence at the 2025 Leaders and Honors Banquet

This year, five IOE students have been recognized for their accomplishments including Sinan Abdulhak, Ethan George, Jacqueline Hannan, Jiahao Shi and Aubree Xia.

The Department of Industrial and Operations Engineering (IOE) at the University of Michigan (U-M) is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of five student leaders. They were honored at the U-M College of Engineering’s 2025 Student Leaders and Honors Banquet on March 16. This event celebrates students from across the College who have demonstrated excellence in academics, leadership and service to others.

This year, five IOE students have been recognized for their accomplishments:

  • Sinan Abdulhak – Distinguished Leadership Award – Graduate Students
  • Ethan George – Distinguished Leadership Award – Undergraduate Students
  • Jacqueline Hannan – Distinguished Leadership Award – Graduate Students
  • Jiahao Shi – Richard F. and Eleanor A. Towner Prize for Distinguished Academic Achievement
  • Aubree Xia – Distinguished Academic Achievement Undergraduate Award

The achievements of these students does not only reflect their individual dedication and talent but also highlights the strength and innovation within the IOE community.
