University of Michigan Industrial and Operations Engineering (U-M IOE) alumna, Sadie Cox, has been awarded the James W. Barany Student Award for Excellence from the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE).
“IISE conferences and events have been an enriching part of my college experience, and I feel fortunate to receive this recognition,” Cox said. “I would especially like to express my sincere gratitude to Professors Mark Daskin, Yili Liu, and Brian Denton, who have provided invaluable opportunities and guidance to cultivate my success in both the academic and professional settings.”
This award recognizes industrial engineering undergraduate students who have distinguished themselves through the excellence of scholarship and campus leadership. Every year three students receive this honor, making this a prestigious award.
Cox graduated with her BSE in Industrial and Operations Engineering this spring. She plans to pursue her MSE next year as part of the SUGS program and the Tauber Institute of Global Operations, beginning in fall 2022.
