Sadie Cox receives Distinguished Achievement Undergraduate and Distinguished Leadership Awards.

University of Michigan Industrial and Operations Engineering (U-M IOE) undergraduate student, Sadie Cox, has received the Distinguished Achievement Undergraduate Award and the Distinguished Leadership Award from the U-M College of Engineering (CoE).

University of Michigan Industrial and Operations Engineering (U-M IOE) undergraduate student, Sadie Cox, has received the Distinguished Achievement Undergraduate Award and the Distinguished Leadership Award from the U-M College of Engineering (CoE).

“I am fortunate to have had many students, professors and staff members enrich my U-M experience and advocate on my behalf. I am deeply indebted to the IOE Department for the opportunities and recognition I have received, as well as my classmates that have made this such a transformative and valuable journey.”

One outstanding undergraduate in each CoE degree program is recognized with the Distinguished Achievement Undergraduate Award for their academic achievement, exemplary character, leadership in class and activities, and potential for success in future endeavors. The Distinguished Achievement Undergraduate Award is accompanied by a $500 stipend.

Six undergraduate students across the CoE were selected for the Distinguished Leadership Award, which honors their demonstration of extraordinary leadership and service to the College, University, and community.

Cox will graduate with her BSE this spring. She plans to pursue her MSE next year as part of the SUGS program and the Tauber Institute of Global Operations.
