The purpose of these awards is to recognize the achievements of student chapters. Please join us in congratulating our students on this well-deserved recognition!
“During the past year, we continued our effort to get together and learn about Operations Research. We created a committee dedicated to Anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion (ARDEI), which organized three great events: Diversity in higher education journal club, the virtual Be Active Fundraiser for Black Girls Code, and the virtual international movie night. Additionally, we had two pro-bono projects that connected students with the community. Finally, we had regular social and professional development events that helped keep the community together during the pandemic. The summa cum laude award represents the amazing officers’ dedication to the chapter. I’m grateful for having such a great team by my side. Also, I want to thank the IOE department and College of Engineering for their constant support.” Daniel Otero-Leon (President)
“I am grateful our INFORMS Student Chapter received the summa cum laude award. I would like to thank our chapter’s members, my fellow officers, and the IOE department who made this accomplishment possible.” Lauren Czerniak (Vice President)
