“I’m very excited to be a part of such an amazing team! The University of Michigan INFORMS student chapter has played an integral part in my transition to Ph.D. studies, and I look forward to continuing to be a part of such a great organization.”

“During the past year, we continued our effort to get together and learn about Operations Research. We created a committee dedicated to Anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion (ARDEI), which organized three great events: Diversity in higher education journal club,  the virtual Be Active Fundraiser for Black Girls Code, and the virtual international movie night. Additionally, we had two pro-bono projects that connected students with the community.  Finally, we had regular social and professional development events that helped keep the community together during the pandemic. The summa cum laude award represents the amazing officers’ dedication to the chapter. I’m grateful for having such a great team by my side. Also, I want to thank the IOE department and College of Engineering for their constant support.” Daniel Otero-Leon (President)
