Dr. Adams is a nationally recognized expert in Prevention through Design, and has been an industry practitioner in Safety Engineering and Ergonomics for 36 years. He has delivered dozens of presentations and training sessions at large national conferences. He served as a Director on the Board of Certified Safety Professionals for seven years, including service as Board President in 2008.

Research Interests
Dr. Adams has conducted research in how organizations, such as water utilities, can improve operational safety performance through improved engineering processes. He has also been involved in research on machine safeguarding and electrostatic safety. His graduate research focused on the effects of protective clothing on worker performance.
