Alejandro’s main area of interest is in supply chain logistics. His current research is focused on optimizing the outbound distribution logistics of the food supply chain, by using operations research tools such as mathematical programs and heuristic approximation models. His main goal within this field is to develop models that can be applied in the industry to reduce costs associated with distribution logistics. Other key areas to his research include supply chain facilities planning and material handling optimization.
