    Biography

    Dean Hully has been part of LLamasoft’s journey in the supply chain design market for the last 13 years. He was a major contributor to the industry leading Supply Chain Guru software package that enables companies to apply sophisticated algorithms, both Optimization and ML based, to their supply chain design challenges. For the last 4 years he has led the Applied Research group at LLamasoft. The group consists of 32 scientists who concentrate on creating and improving algorithms that tackle difficult supply chain problems. Late 2020, LLamasoft was acquired by Coupa, Inc. a company that leads the business spend management space. Coupa emphasizes Community Intelligence, which is, essentially, learning and improving our customer’s businesses by utilizing the spend data managed on their platform. Coupling Coupa’s indirect spend services with LLamasoft’s direct spend algorithms has created a dynamic company with many algorithmic challenges that his team is eager to tackle.
