2020 Master’s Admissions Reopen

U-M Industrial and Operations Engineering (IOE) at the University of Michigan (#2 Ranked Best Industrial Engineering Program) has reopened the application process for the Master’s program for the Fall 2020 term.

The new deadline is June 1 for all eligible individuals.

In re-opening our applications, the department and the College of Engineering are also trying to be as flexible and accommodating as possible, providing individuals with new avenues for success.

All IOE classes will also be offered with remote options in the Fall semester for those who are unable to attend in person.

GRE requirement waived

Due to practical considerations associated with scheduling a GRE exam on short notice, the GRE requirement will be waived in favor of additional careful scrutiny of applicants’ verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical writing, and critical thinking skills.

For international applicants

Due to ongoing and unresolved concerns with visa processing, including the current closure of US consulates abroad, we are unable to offer admission for Fall 2020 semester to international applicants who need to obtain immigration authorization. Prospective applicants are encouraged to inquire about Winter 2021 admission.
