Professor Keyserling is responsible for courses in work measurement, ergonomics, and safety engineering. His research interests include developing computer-aided methods for evaluating and predicting work posture, controlling posture related fatigue and injuries through improved work station design, enhancing work measurement techniques to evaluate ergonomic stresses in the work place, and safety/ergonomic issues in trucking and distribution operations. Professor Keyserling is the director of the NIOSH-sponsored University of Michigan Center for Occupational Health and Safety Engineering. He also is a reviewer for several journals, a member of IIE, ASSE, and AIHA. He is a Certified Safety Professional and a Certified Professional Ergonomist. |
