Professor Sarter teaches courses in cognitive ergonomics and human factors. Her main research interests include the design and evaluation of multimodal HCI and CSCW interfaces, human error and error management, attention management, and the design of decision support systems. Her research is conducted in application domains such as aviation, military operations, and the modern car cockpit. Professor Sarter is a member of the editorial boards for Human Factors, the International Journal of Aviation Psychology, and the Journal of Human Performance in Extreme Environments. |
