Professor Herrin's teaching research and consulting focuses on statistical quality control and on-line and off-line design and analysis of experiments. He introduced IOE 265 and 366 into the IOE curriculum. He is active in American Society for Quality Control (ASQC), American Statistical Association (ASA), and Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE).
