Dr. Fixson has joined the faculty in the fall of 2002. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in engineering economy and technology management. He conducts research in the field of engineering management and concurrent engineering. Current research projects include the investigation of the role of modularity in design and production, the development of technical cost modeling methods, and the study of how technology developments interact with organizational design and management.
