Course Outcomes
- Describe human-machine system
- Describe process flow and work place layout
- Perform work methods analysis to identify non-value added work and ergonomic stresses
- Design workstation layouts, work flows, and work methods that improve productivity and ergonomics
- Design, perform, and report the results of a time study (including statistical considerations)
- Design, perform, and report the results of a work sampling study (including statistical considerations)
- Use pre-determined time systems to estimate normal work times
- Develop a simple standard data system
- Determine Appropriate allowances for process delays and prevention of work related musculoskeletal disorders
- Identify appropriate tools for measurement and design of work
